Most tests don't require fasting. Some tests — like glucose, insulin and cholesterol — give more accurate results when fasted (nothing to eat or drink except water for 8–12 hours). We'll tell you clearly when you book if fasting is needed for your chosen tests.
Most results come back promptly after your sample is processed at the lab. Some specialist tests take a little longer. You'll be contacted as soon as your results are ready and reviewed.
Every result is reviewed by a trained clinician before it reaches you. We'll explain what your results mean in plain English — not medical jargon. If anything needs follow-up, we'll let you know clearly.
