Standard Screen Plus + Hormonal Health (Female), 39 tests: female hormones (FSH, LH, oestradiol, progesterone, prolactin, testosterone, sex hormone binding globulin and free androgen index), thyroid function and antibodies (TSH, free T4, free T3, anti-thyroglobulin and anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies), ferritin, vitamin D, cholesterol and lipids (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, cholesterol/HDL ratio), blood sugar (glucose and HbA1c), liver function (ALT, AST, ALP, GGT, total bilirubin, albumin), kidney function and salts (creatinine, eGFR, urea, potassium, chloride, phosphate, adjusted calcium), C-reactive protein (CRP), a full blood count, the CA-125 marker and a urinalysis. CA-125 is not a stand-alone screening test for ovarian cancer; your GP interprets it alongside your symptoms. Please fast for 10 to 12 hours before your bloods (water is fine).
It's a good starting point. FSH, LH and oestradiol are checked, along with thyroid and ferritin, which can cause similar symptoms. Some hormone results depend on the day of your cycle, so if you still have periods our team will advise on timing when you book. If specialist follow-up is appropriate (gynae or endocrinology), she'll refer you privately or back to your NHS GP with the report attached.
Bloods are usually drawn within 7-10 days of payment. The GP review is booked 1-2 weeks after bloods so the results are ready on the day. We confirm both dates together by phone.
