What is your "health age"?

Two people born on the same day can have very different bodies. One might have the cardiovascular system, energy and resilience of someone ten years younger; the other, ten years older. Your health age is a single, easy-to-grasp number that reflects how your lifestyle and health measurements are affecting your body — regardless of the date on your birth certificate.

It's built from the same factors clinicians use to estimate long-term health risk: blood pressure, weight, physical activity, smoking, alcohol, diet, sleep, stress and family history. The good news is that unlike your real age, your health age can be lowered — often substantially — by changes that are within your control.

Why it matters

A higher-than-expected health age is an early warning, not a verdict. It's a prompt to look closer — with proper blood tests, a blood pressure check and a conversation with a doctor — before small issues become serious ones. Many of the conditions that shorten lives, from heart disease to type 2 diabetes, develop quietly for years before symptoms appear. A health assessment is the most reliable way to catch them early.
