Mr Patel graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine (UWCM) in 1999 and then completed his postgraduate ophthalmic training at teaching centres in Wales, Yorkshire and London.Subsequently he spent two years training with world-renowned surgeons both in Italy and at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London where he developed his skills in the latest corneal transplantation techniques.
