Understanding your Build Your Own results

The build-your-own option allows you to select specific individual tests to match your clinical needs or the requirements of another healthcare professional. Each test is performed with the same quality assurance and clinician review as part of our standard panels.

Individual Test Selection

You can choose from the full range of individual markers available at The Vesey — from single electrolytes and tumour markers to specialised hormones and genetic tests. Your clinician can advise on which markers are most appropriate for your situation.

Clinician Review

Every result from a custom panel is reviewed by a clinician before release, with the same explanatory interpretation provided as for our named panels. A result that raises a concern will be followed up with clear guidance on next steps.

Preparation Varies by Marker

Some markers require fasting, specific timing in the menstrual cycle or avoidance of certain medications. When you book, our team will confirm all preparation requirements for the specific markers you select.

Results are reviewed by a clinician before release. Reference ranges vary slightly by laboratory and individual factors including age, sex, and pregnancy. A result outside the standard range does not automatically indicate disease — your clinician will explain what the result means for you specifically. Further information: Lab Tests Online UK.
