Should You Get That Mole Checked?
Answer 6 quick questions using the ABCDE method dermatologists use, and optionally add a photo for our clinical team to review — free, confidential, no referral needed.
This tool offers general guidance, not a diagnosis. Any photo you add is reviewed by a clinician, never by AI or an automated system — your recommendation will always be confirmed at your appointment.
Common questions
Can this quiz diagnose a mole?
No. It uses the ABCDE method (Asymmetry, Border, Colour, Diameter, Evolving) that dermatologists use as a public screening guide, but only a consultant examining the mole in person — with dermoscopy where needed — can assess it properly. This tool only recommends how soon to get it looked at.
What happens to the photo I upload?
It's encrypted and stored securely, attached to your enquiry for our clinical team to review ahead of your appointment. It is not analysed by AI or any automated system — a human clinician looks at it, the same as if you showed it to them in clinic.
How much does a mole check cost?
A consultant dermatology consultation is £260. A full-body mole check with dermoscopy is £320. If a mole needs removing, that's quoted separately (from £450) and confirmed before any procedure.
