Alex 3 (Allergy Explorer 3) is the latest generation of molecular allergen component testing — the most detailed allergy investigation available from a single blood sample. Unlike a standard allergy panel that gives a simple positive or negative result per allergen, Alex 3 identifies the specific protein components within each allergen that you react to. This distinction is clinically significant: it tells us whether a peanut sensitisation carries genuine anaphylaxis risk, or is likely a harmless cross-reaction from birch pollen — a finding that changes management entirely.

3. Laboratory analysis — your sample is processed at an accredited laboratory. Results are returned to us in 7–10 working days.
4. Written report — we prepare a consultant-interpreted written report and send it directly to you.
5. Interpretation appointment — your included 30-minute follow-up with our clinical team to go through the findings, ask questions, and agree a management plan.
