We send branded employee communications, pre-visit health questionnaires and fasting instructions. Booking slots managed through our portal.

Individual reports sent to each employee securely. Initial findings flagged with the employee that day.

Why corporate health screening pays back
The business case for workplace health screening is well-evidenced. Three categories of return:
1. Sickness absence reduction
The ONS reports UK employees took an average of 7.8 days of sickness absence in 2024 — the highest figure since 2004. Around 30% is musculoskeletal, 20% mental health-related, 10% minor illness. A well-designed health programme typically reduces sickness absence by 12–22%, equating to roughly 1.2 fewer days per employee per year. At median UK pay, that's £180–£250 saved per employee per year.
2. Presenteeism & productivity
Presenteeism — employees at work but underperforming due to ill health — costs UK employers an estimated £28 billion per year, more than twice the cost of absenteeism. Health screening identifies treatable conditions (hypertension, anaemia, vitamin D deficiency, thyroid dysfunction, sleep disorders, mental health) that quietly degrade productivity. Treating these typically lifts performance by 5–15% in affected employees.
3. Recruitment, retention & insurance
In a competitive Midlands talent market, comprehensive health benefits — particularly screening — improve recruitment offer acceptance and reduce churn. Some employers report measurable reductions in private medical insurance claims volume after introducing routine screening, as conditions are caught earlier and managed before they become costly.

"The Vesey delivered on-site screening for our full team. The aggregated report gave us evidence we'd never had before — we could see exactly where our population health risks sat. We've built our 2026 wellbeing strategy directly from their recommendations. The fact that employees actually wanted to attend was the surprise."

Frequently asked questions
How much does corporate health screening cost?
Three tiers per employee: Essential £99, Advance £275, Executive £499. Volume discounts apply from 10+ employees. On-site delivery for groups of 15+ from £4/employee additional.
Can you deliver health screening at our offices?
Yes. For groups of 15+ employees we deliver on-site at your premises anywhere in the West Midlands. We bring a portable clinical setup including phlebotomy, ECG and consultation space.
Do employees need to fast before their appointment?
For Advance and Executive tier appointments, employees should fast for 8–10 hours beforehand (water is fine) to ensure accurate results from the lipid components of the Randox blood panel. Essential tier appointments do not require fasting — employees can attend normally. We include clear pre-visit fasting guidance in the employee communications we send ahead of the programme.
How long does it take to set up?
From initial enquiry to first employee being seen: typically 2–3 weeks. Larger programmes are planned 1–3 months ahead.
What does the employer receive vs the employee?
Each employee receives a full personal written results report in confidence. The employer receives only an anonymised aggregated workforce health report — never individual data. This is a GDPR and medical confidentiality requirement.
Is corporate health screening tax-deductible?
Generally yes — allowable business expense for corporation tax. For the employee, one annual health assessment per year is exempt from benefit-in-kind tax. Confirm with your accountant for your specific situation.
Can you do mixed tiers — Executive for leadership, Essential for the rest?
Yes. Very common arrangement. We can also offer voluntary upgrades where employees who want a higher tier can pay the difference personally.
What about ongoing care after the screening?
Where employees need follow-up — for raised BP, abnormal lipids, mental health concerns — they can use The Vesey for ongoing care at standard self-pay or insurance-covered rates. Many employers add a small GP subscription benefit (from £19/employee/month) for ongoing access.
Are you regulated and insured?
Yes. The Vesey is CQC-regulated (registration 1-11527097165), rated Good across all five domains. Full medical malpractice and public liability insurance held. All clinicians GMC-registered.
Do you cover occupational health needs like night-shift workers or DSE?
We focus on health screening rather than statutory occupational health (which typically requires a dedicated OH provider). For combined OH + screening needs, talk to us at proposal stage and we can recommend appropriate partners.
Can family members of employees join the programme?
Yes — many employers offer access to spouse/partner screening at the same negotiated rate. Easy to set up at proposal stage.
