Tired all the time? Blood tests for energy & fatigue

Persistent tiredness often has a common, checkable cause — low iron, an underactive thyroid, low vitamin B12, or low vitamin D. The Vesey’s energy and fatigue blood tests in Sutton Coldfield start from £148, with results within 48 hours reviewed by a clinician. If you feel tired all the time, a blood test is one of the most useful first steps. Many causes of low energy — iron deficiency, thyroid problems, and vitamin B12 or vitamin D deficiency — are simple to measure and common in the West Midlands. Below are the panels most people start with, from a focused single check to our comprehensive Tired All The Time screen.

All samples are processed by CQC-regulated, UKAS-accredited NHS pathology laboratories. Reports are reviewed by a GP, with an optional telephone interpretation for any out-of-range result. Guide prices are confirmed at booking.
When tiredness needs urgent attention. Ongoing tiredness is usually not an emergency, but some symptoms are. If your fatigue comes with chest pain, breathlessness, an irregular or racing heartbeat, fainting, or you feel very unwell, call 999. For urgent but non-emergency advice, call 111 or see your GP. A blood test is a sensible next step once anything urgent has been ruled out.

Do I need to fast before a fatigue blood test?
