Yes. The Vesey is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Provider ID 1-12376210923 — the same regulatory body that inspects NHS hospitals. Most online GP apps are not CQC registered. Our CQC registration means all services, including virtual consultations, are independently inspected for safety, effectiveness, and patient care.

No. After booking, you'll receive a secure video link by email and SMS. Simply click the link at your appointment time — the video call opens in your browser on any smartphone, tablet or computer. No app download required.

Yes. Our virtual GPs can issue private prescriptions electronically to a pharmacy of your choice, or as a paper prescription sent by post. Prescriptions are included in the consultation fee with no extra charge. We prescribe to NICE and BNF guidelines. Controlled drugs (opiates, benzodiazepines, stimulants) are not prescribed at a first virtual appointment.

Yes. Our virtual GPs can issue a legally valid Med3 fit note (sick note) during your consultation. It is emailed to you as a PDF and is valid for employer and DWP purposes. There is no extra fee — the sick note is included in the £25 consultation cost.

Many UK private health insurers — including Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, and WPA — cover virtual specialist consultations at The Vesey. Virtual GP appointments may not be covered depending on your policy. Always check with your insurer and have your pre-authorisation code ready before booking.

Virtual consultations are clinically appropriate for approximately 70% of primary care concerns.
