Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use our website, book online and use My Vesey. This page says how accessible they are today and how to get help.
What this statement covers
This statement covers www.thevesey.co.uk, our online booking pages and the My Vesey patient portal. The Vesey is run by BCSZ Ltd.
Using this website
We aim to make sure you can:
- zoom in and change colours, fonts and text size using your browser or device settings;
- move around the site and book using only a keyboard;
- use the site with a screen reader or speech recognition software;
- understand the content, which we try to write in plain English.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not yet had a full independent accessibility audit, so we describe the site as partially compliant. The problems we know about are:
- some downloadable PDF documents, such as our corporate brochures, are not fully accessible;
- some parts of our pages come from other providers and are controlled by them, including the patient reviews panel, the card payment form and the video consultation room;
- some older pages may have problems we have not found yet.
If you find a problem that is not listed here, please tell us.
Information in a different format
If you need information from us in another format, such as large print, or you need us to communicate with you in a particular way, such as through an interpreter, please tell us when you book or call us. We record communication needs on your patient record so that the team can see them each time you contact us, and we will talk to you about how we can meet your need.

Reporting accessibility problems
We are always looking to improve. If you have difficulty using any part of our website or My Vesey, or you think we are not meeting the guidelines above, please call or email us using the details above. If you are not happy with our response, you can make a complaint using our complaints policy.
Visiting us in person
If you need an adjustment for your visit, such as extra time, a chaperone or help getting around the building, please tell us when you book so we can be ready for you.
How we test and improve
Automated accessibility checks run on our main pages, our booking steps and our staff dashboard every time we change the code, and a change that adds a serious problem is not released. Automated checks cannot find every problem, so we also act on what patients tell us.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 9 October 2026. It is based on our own automated testing; the site has not yet been independently audited. We will review it at least once a year, and when we make a significant change to the website.
