Step by step

How your visit works

From the moment you book to the moment you leave — here's exactly what happens.

1

Book online — takes under 2 minutes

Choose your service (GP, specialist, blood test, or health assessment), pick a date and time that suits you, and pay online. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately. No phone calls required, no waiting for a callback.

2

Arrive — free parking right outside

We're at Unit 3, The Courtyard, Reddicap Trading Estate, Sutton Coldfield B75 7BU. Free on-site parking is available directly outside. There's no multi-storey, no meters, no stress. All consulting rooms are on the ground floor with full accessibility.

3

Reception — calm, friendly, unhurried

You'll be greeted by name. Let them know you've arrived, help yourself to complimentary tea or coffee, and take a seat in our waiting area. It's quiet, clean and calm — nothing like an A&E waiting room. You'll typically be called through within 5 minutes of your booked time.

4

Your appointment — your full time, no rushing

GP appointments run for 30 minutes. Specialist appointments for 45–60 minutes. Your clinician will spend the entire time with you — listening, examining, and explaining. You will not be interrupted by another patient. You will not be made to feel like a burden. Ask every question you've been putting off.

5

Leave with a clear plan

You'll leave knowing exactly what your clinician found and what happens next. If blood tests are needed, they can often be taken on the same visit. If a prescription or referral letter is required, your clinician will arrange it before you leave. Results are typically available within 48 hours, shared with a clear written summary.

Common questions

Things people wonder before their first visit

Is The Vesey a hospital? Will I be admitted?
No. The Vesey is an outpatient clinic, not a hospital ward. There are no overnight stays, no beds, and no clinical ward environment. You arrive, see your clinician in a modern consulting room, and leave. It feels much more like a GP practice than a hospital.
Is private healthcare only for people with insurance?
Not at all. The majority of our patients pay self-pay (directly) without any insurance. A GP appointment costs £90, blood tests from £14, and health assessments from £99. All prices are published on our website before you book — no hidden fees. If you do have insurance, we accept Bupa, AXA, Vitality, WPA, Cigna, Healix and most major UK providers.
Will I see the same doctor every time?
You can request the same clinician for follow-up appointments and we'll do our best to accommodate that. Many of our patients have the same GP for every visit. You'll always know the name of the clinician you're seeing before your appointment.
What if I need follow-up or a referral?
If you need a specialist referral, your GP can refer you directly to one of our 39 consultants — often on the same site, often within days. If you need an NHS referral, your GP can write that letter too. Nothing gets left in a tray. Before you leave, you'll know exactly what the next step is.
Is there parking?
Yes — free on-site parking is available directly outside the clinic. All consulting rooms are on the ground floor with full wheelchair and pushchair access. There are no steps and no lifts required.
