Physio waiting lists are long. Pain doesn't wait.

Whether you're on a waiting list, between appointments, or just not sure your knee or back needs a referral yet, going without structured guidance in the meantime makes recovery slower and more frustrating than it needs to be.

How MoveWell works

Five steps, from your first assessment to a physiotherapist checking in on your progress.

Guided assessment

5–8 minutes: pain location, onset, a red-flag screen, and a region-specific outcome measure (Oswestry for backs, KOOS for knees).

Instant triage

A safe self-manage plan, a nudge to book a human physio, or an immediate stop-and-escalate if anything looks serious.

Your exercise plan

Video-guided and personalised — it adapts week to week based on how you're doing, not a generic PDF.

Ask-anything check-ins

Conversational, always grounded in real guidelines. Never guessing at an answer it isn't sure of.

Clinician review

A real HCPC-registered physiotherapist reviews your plan and any concern MoveWell flags.

Safety, front and centre

Every screen inside MoveWell carries a visible "if this is an emergency, call 999" strip. Here's exactly what it will and won't do.

What MoveWell will do

  • Screen for red flags before offering any exercise plan
  • Ground every answer in NICE and CSP guidance, with sources cited
  • Route your plan and any flagged concern to a real HCPC physiotherapist
  • Tell you plainly to seek urgent care if anything looks serious

What it won't do

  • Diagnose a serious underlying condition itself
  • Prescribe medication or injections
  • Continue a plan once a red flag is raised — it stops and escalates
  • Replace emergency care — call 999 if this is an emergency

Evidence you can trust

Built on NICE and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy guidance — every answer cites its source, not a guess.

Everything you need to know

Is this a replacement for physiotherapy?
No — MoveWell is designed to work alongside, or as a first step before, in-person physiotherapy. It gives you a structured exercise plan and clinician oversight between appointments; if your case needs hands-on treatment or investigation, your reviewing physiotherapist will say so and help you take the next step.
What happens if I have a red-flag symptom?
The assessment specifically screens for red-flag symptoms — things like unexplained weight loss, loss of bladder or bowel control, or significant trauma — before anything else. If one is flagged, MoveWell stops and tells you to seek urgent in-person care straight away, rather than continuing with a plan.
Can I use this alongside in-person treatment?
Yes. Many members use MoveWell to stay consistent with their exercises and track progress between physiotherapy appointments, or while waiting for one. Let your physiotherapist know you're using it so your care stays joined up.
