Private Ear Wax Removal in Sutton Coldfield
Professional microsuction ear wax removal in Sutton Coldfield from £120 for both ears. The gold standard technique. NHS ear syringing largely discontinued.
What is ear wax removal?
Ear wax (cerumen) is a normal protective substance produced by the ear canal. In some individuals, wax accumulates and impacts — causing hearing loss, a sensation of blockage, tinnitus, and earache.
Microsuction is the gold standard method for ear wax removal, using gentle suction and a microscope or loupe magnification to directly visualise and remove wax safely. Unlike ear syringing — which the NHS has largely discontinued — microsuction does not require the ear to be flooded with water and is safe for patients with perforated eardrums or previous ear surgery.
The procedure takes approximately 15–30 minutes and provides immediate relief of symptoms.
