Private Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) in Sutton Coldfield
Blepharoplasty for drooping upper eyelids affecting vision, or lower eyelid bags causing cosmetic concern. From £2,500. Same-week consultant. Published price.
What is eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty)?
Blepharoplasty is surgical correction of the eyelids — removing excess skin, muscle, and occasionally fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids. It may be performed for functional reasons — when drooping upper eyelids (dermatochalasis or ptosis) obstruct the visual field — or for cosmetic reasons, addressing the tired or aged appearance associated with upper eyelid excess or lower eyelid bags.
Functional upper blepharoplasty is sometimes available on the NHS when visual field obstruction is confirmed, but cosmetic blepharoplasty is exclusively private. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia as a day case and takes 45–90 minutes depending on whether one or both upper and lower lids are treated.
