A health screen built around you — with a female GP who has time.
An Essential Health Assessment with the additional full Randox Standard Female blood screen. Then, once your bloods and report are back, an unhurried 40-minute follow-up with our new female GP, Dr Arathi Shanmugam. CQC-regulated. No referral required.
Most women have never had a health appointment that wasn't rushed. We changed that.
A standard NHS GP appointment is 9.5 minutes. Even most private GP appointments are 15–20. There’s no realistic way to discuss hormonal symptoms, fatigue, mood changes, weight, sleep, perimenopause, fertility concerns, and what your bloods mean — in that time. So we built a package that gives you 40 minutes with a female GP, after a comprehensive blood screen, with everything in front of her.
1 in 4 UK women report symptoms they can't explain — fatigue, brain fog, mood swings, weight change, low libido, irregular cycles. The vast majority have an explainable cause that shows up on the right bloods: thyroid imbalance, low iron, low vitamin D, perimenopausal hormone shifts, insulin resistance, vitamin B12 deficiency. This package finds those things and gives you a proper plan.
Two appointments. Everything in one place. £250 less than buying it separately.
An Essential Health Assessment alone is £99. The additional Randox Standard Female blood screen alone is £210. A 40-minute consultation with a private GP alone is £170. Buy them separately and you pay £479. In June you get all three for £229.
- Full thyroid profile (TSH, free T3, free T4)
- Reproductive hormones (FSH, LH, oestradiol)
- Full blood count, lipid profile, HbA1c
- Kidney & liver function
- Vitamin D, B12, ferritin (iron stores)
- CRP (inflammation marker)
- Walk through every blood result, line by line
- Discuss any symptoms in detail
- Personalised lifestyle, supplement, medication plan
- Onward specialist referral if clinically indicated
- Written summary letter you can share with your NHS GP
- Female clinician — important to many women, optional for all
If any of these apply, the answers might already be in your bloods.
Many of the symptoms women tolerate as "just life" have a measurable, treatable cause. A complete blood screen plus a 40-minute female GP review is often the most useful 70 minutes you can give your health.
Compare this package to standard private health screening.
Most women’s health screens give you a blood test and a 15-minute summary. Some include a basic HA. Almost none include a 40-minute female GP consultation. This June you get all three.

Health check + bloods first. Then a proper conversation, with the report in hand.
4.87/5 from 350+ verified Doctify reviews.
"I’d been told for 5 years 'your bloods are fine'. The Vesey ran a proper screen and found low thyroid + ferritin. Six weeks into treatment my fatigue and brain fog have lifted. I cried in the appointment because someone finally listened."
"40 minutes with a female GP felt like a luxury, but it’s what every woman should expect. The detail in the consultation and the written summary was outstanding. Worth every penny."
"At perimenopause and confused about whether HRT was right. The bloods clarified what was happening; the GP explained the options and didn't push anything. Calm, evidence-based, unhurried. Highly recommend."
Everything you might be wondering, answered.
What exactly do I get for £229?
Two appointments. (1) An Essential Health Assessment with a Health Advisor (blood pressure, BMI, body composition, lifestyle review) plus the additional full Randox Standard Female blood screen drawn at the same visit. (2) Once your bloods and report are back (3-5 working days later), a 40-minute follow-up with female GP Dr Arathi Shanmugam to walk you through every result. You also receive a written summary letter you can share with your NHS GP.
Who is Dr Arathi Shanmugam?
Dr Shanmugam is The Vesey’s newest female GP. She offers 40-minute consultations (three times the length of a standard private GP slot), with a particular interest in women’s health, hormonal health, and chronic-symptom investigation. Her style is unhurried and patient-led.
What's in the Randox Standard Female blood screen?
Full thyroid profile (TSH, free T3, free T4), reproductive hormones (FSH, LH, oestradiol), full blood count, lipid profile, HbA1c (diabetes), kidney function (urea, creatinine, eGFR), liver function (ALT, AST, GGT, ALP, bilirubin), vitamin D, vitamin B12, ferritin (iron stores) and CRP (inflammation marker).
How long between the two appointments?
Typically 3-5 working days. Bloods are processed within 48 hours; the written Randox report follows shortly after. We book your 40-minute follow-up with Dr Shanmugam once all your bloods and the report are back — not before — so the consultation can cover everything in one go. You can pre-book a tentative GP slot when you book your first appointment, or wait for us to call.
Do I need to fast for the blood test?
No fasting required for this panel. Take your usual medications. We do ask that you avoid heavy exercise the morning of your bloods.
What if I have a specific concern I want to discuss?
That’s exactly why this package exists. Add a note when you book, or mention it on the day — the 40-minute consultation has enough time to discuss anything from fertility planning to perimenopause to long-term contraception.
What happens if something abnormal is found?
Most findings can be managed directly by Dr Shanmugam — thyroid supplementation, iron support, vitamin D replacement, HRT discussion, lifestyle plans. Anything that needs specialist input gets a fast-tracked referral to the relevant consultant (gynaecology, endocrinology, BMS-accredited menopause specialist, etc.).
Do I need a GP referral?
No. The Vesey is a CQC-regulated private clinic and you can book direct. If you’d like us to send a copy of the summary letter to your NHS GP, just give us their details on the day.
When is this offer available?
Throughout June 2026 only. After 30 June 2026 the package reverts to standard pricing (£479+). Dr Shanmugam’s clinic is in high demand — book early to secure your preferred date.
Can I bring a friend or sister?
Absolutely. Book back-to-back slots and you both get the £229 price. We’ll line up your GP follow-ups consecutively too — many women find it’s easier to do this with someone.
