How we assess and investigate

Podiatry assessment begins with a full lower limb and foot examination including vascular assessment (pulses, capillary refill, ankle-brachial pressure index for high-risk patients), neurological screening (monofilament, vibration), skin and nail assessment, and musculoskeletal assessment of the foot and ankle. Gait analysis using visual and video-based assessment identifies biomechanical contributors. Pressure mapping is used for diabetic foot assessment and orthotic design.

  • Verruca treatment — cryotherapy, needling, acid treatment
  • Corticosteroid injection for plantar fasciitis and other foot pathologies

Can The Vesey treat ingrown toenails with nail surgery?

Yes — partial or total nail avulsion under local anaesthetic is performed, with a high cure rate for recurrent ingrown toenails.

Does The Vesey accept health insurance for podiatry?

Yes — BUPA, Vitality, AXA, WPA, Cigna, Aviva, and Healix are accepted. Check your policy for podiatry cover and pre-authorisation requirements.
