Most weight-loss apps guess. ThriveWell doesn't.

A generic app can't tell a safe calorie deficit from a dangerous one, and it can't tell you when the right next step is actually a conversation with a GP. ThriveWell is built to know the difference — grounded in real clinical guidance, with a real dietitian and, where relevant, your GP involved.

How ThriveWell works

Assessment → plan → tracking → review — with a safety screen running before any plan, every time.

Assessment

Goals, history, comorbidities — and an eating-disorder screen (SCOFF) that always runs first. A positive screen means no self-serve plan, full stop.

A grounded plan

Calorie and macro targets bounded by NICE guidance — never a crash deficit, never below your own safe minimum.

Gentle tracking

Weight and waist trends over weeks, not judgement on any single number — supportive coaching, never calorie-policing.

The right next step

If your assessment suggests medically-supervised treatment may help, ThriveWell says so plainly and points you to a GP consultation — never a guessed medicine, dose, or price.

Safety, explained plainly

Two things ThriveWell takes especially seriously — and neither is buried in small print.

What ThriveWell will do

  • Screen for eating-disorder risk before every plan, no exceptions
  • Keep every calorie target at or above your safe metabolic floor
  • Signpost a GP consultation when your profile suggests it may help
  • Have a real dietitian review your plan and any flagged case

What it won't do

  • Ever name a specific medicine, a dose, or a price
  • Issue a plan for anyone the eating-disorder screen flags
  • Offer self-serve support alongside an existing GLP-1 or insulin prescription

Evidence you can trust

Built on the NICE guidance for identifying, assessing and managing overweight and obesity.

Everything you need to know

Will this push me toward weight-loss injections?
No. ThriveWell only ever signposts — if your assessment suggests you may be a candidate for medically-supervised treatment, it says so and recommends a GP consultation, but it never names a specific medicine, a dose, or a price. Any prescribing decision is made by a GP, never by ThriveWell.
Will this tell me to starve myself?
No. Every plan is bounded to a safe calorie floor based on your own metabolic rate, and the eating-disorder screen (SCOFF) runs before any plan is generated — a positive screen means no self-serve plan is issued, and you're pointed to your GP or a dietitian instead.
What if I'm already on a GLP-1 medicine or insulin?
ThriveWell is not for self-serve use alongside an existing GLP-1 or insulin prescription — that needs to stay GP-led, with your prescriber able to monitor you properly, so the assessment will route you to your GP rather than issuing an AI plan.
