Practising privileges for consultants in every specialty — surgical and medical. We run the reception, the diary, the billing and the marketing. You run the clinic.
What you get
- A consultant-led hospital, not a room-rental scheme. Reception, online and phone booking, confirmations, reminders and invoicing are handled by the practice on the same systems every clinic uses.
- Rooms priced simply. £20 per hour, booked ad hoc (30-minute minimum) or as a monthly block, invoiced by BACS. No deposit beyond a £100 key-fob deposit.
- Get paid the same day. Patients pay our list price online or at the desk; through Stripe Connect your fee is transferred to you the same day, with room, card-processing and administration charges (£20 per appointment, £30 for an extended new consultation) deducted transparently. Prefer to invoice monthly? That works too.
- Patients find you. A profile on our website, inclusion in our Google and Meta campaigns, a consultant listing on Doctify and referrals from our private GP team and a growing GP-subscriber list.
- Diagnostics on site. Blood tests, ECG and ambulatory heart monitors, neurophysiology, ultrasound and a direct imaging pathway — results back into your patient's record.
- Colleagues across thirty-plus specialties. Cardiology, dermatology, ENT, gastroenterology, gynaecology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, plastic surgery, rheumatology, urology, vascular surgery and more already hold clinics here.
What we ask of you
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise, on the Specialist Register (or equivalent for non-medical consultants)
- A named Responsible Officer and a current appraisal
- Professional indemnity that covers your private work
- An enhanced DBS check (£65.20, paid at application)
- Two professional referees
- Published fees and procedures, in line with CMA requirements
- Agreement to the Practising Privileges Policy and a Medical Advisory Committee review

Registered Manager review

Live
Your website profile, diary and first clinic go live together, and reception starts booking.

Consultant questions
What does a consultation earn?
Patients pay The Vesey’s published list price — specialist consultations start from £260 — and your fee is what remains after the fixed per-appointment charges. Procedure and follow-up fees are agreed with you at credentialing.
How does the same-day payout work?
Once your Stripe Connect account is set up, each patient payment is split automatically: the practice retains its fixed charges and the balance is transferred to your nominated account the same day. You can see every transfer, and the patient it relates to, in your My Vesey earnings view.
Can I invoice monthly instead?
Yes. One invoice per calendar month, submitted by the 14th of the following month to invoices@thevesey.co.uk, paid on the twice-monthly payment run.
Which insurers do I need to be recognised by?
None to apply. The application asks which insurers recognise you so that reception bills insured patients correctly; self-pay patients are booked from day one.
What about NHS work?
We run insourced and outsourced NHS lists for local trusts. NHS practising privileges is a separate stream of the same application — see the NHS practising privileges page.
Do I need to be local?
Most consultants hold NHS posts across the West Midlands and hold one or two sessions here a week. Evening and weekend sessions are available.
