The roles
Sessional private GP
Regular weekly or fortnightly sessions alongside an NHS post, including the Sunday and evening clinics our patients ask for most.
Salaried private GP
A substantive role at the centre of the GP service: continuity for subscribers, health assessments, a say in how the service develops.
Virtual GP
Video consultations from anywhere in the UK through our own virtual clinic, with prescriptions, sick notes and referrals handled on the same system.

What we ask of you
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise and inclusion on the GP Register
- MRCGP or equivalent, and a current appraisal and revalidation date
- Professional indemnity for private work (state-backed NHS cover does not extend to it)
- An enhanced DBS check, right to work in the UK and immunisation status
- Two references, one clinical
- Comfort consulting on video as well as in the room

A conversation with our clinical lead
Within five working days we call you to talk through the service, the subscriber list and the virtual clinic.
Checks
Registration, references, enhanced DBS, indemnity and immunisation status — tracked in one place and asked for once.
First sessions
Induction on the dashboard and the clinical systems, then your first clinics with support from the team.

GP questions
Can I keep my NHS post?
Yes. Most of our GPs do. Sessional and virtual roles are designed around an NHS week.
How does the virtual GP clinic work?
Patients book a video appointment online; you consult through our embedded video room and write up, prescribe and refer on the same dashboard. Sessions can be worked from home.
What indemnity do I need?
Private work is not covered by the NHS state-backed scheme, so you need indemnity that names private practice. We ask to see the certificate at credentialing.
How are sessions paid?
Sessional rates are agreed with you at offer and paid monthly. Salaried roles carry a salary and pension in the usual way.
Is there appraisal support?
Yes. Your private work here is evidenced for your NHS appraisal — activity, feedback and audit are available from the dashboard — and our own annual review runs on the same system.
