The roles
Operating department practitioner
Anaesthetic, scrub and recovery practice across consultant-led lists. You will work closely with the anaesthetist and surgeon on each list and help shape how the theatre runs.
Theatre nurse — scrub, anaesthetic, recovery
Registered nurses with theatre experience, or a strong ward or day-case background and the wish to train. Recovery experience is particularly welcome.
Healthcare assistants and clinic nurses
Pre-assessment, day-case care, phlebotomy, ECG and health assessments in a seven-day clinic, with a senior nurse overseeing competency.
Physiotherapists, podiatrists, dietitians, audiologists, OTs
Self-employed or sessional AHPs who want a consultant-led referral base and a room, a diary and a reception team already in place.

What we ask of you
- Current HCPC (ODP) or NMC registration with no restrictions, or relevant experience for HCA and support roles
- An enhanced DBS check (we arrange it) and right to work in the UK
- Immunisation status for clinical work — hepatitis B, MMR, TB and seasonal flu and COVID
- Two references, one from your current or most recent employer
- Commitment to CQC standards, the WHO surgical safety checklist and our clinical governance processes

Structured induction with named competencies, then supervised lists until you and your supervisor agree you are ready.

Theatre and nursing questions
I have ward or day-case experience but not theatre — can I apply?
Yes. Tell us where you are now and where you want to be. We recruit for attitude and registration and train for the setting.
Do you take bank staff?
Yes. Bank ODPs and theatre nurses are welcome, and a bank role can become permanent.
What are the hours?
Lists run across the week including evenings and weekends. Patterns are agreed with you at offer, not imposed.
Who do I report to?
A senior nurse oversees clinical competency and supervision across nursing and health-advisor roles, and the Registered Manager holds governance for the hospital.
Do I need my own indemnity?
Employed staff are covered by the hospital. Self-employed allied health professionals carry their own, and we ask to see it at credentialing.
