What the Vital Check includes
Seven checks at the partner clinic, then time with a GP to go through them with you.
Our 22-marker Basic Screen in one blood draw: cholesterol, blood sugar, liver, kidneys and salts, inflammation and a full blood count.
A measure of how your weight is made up, recorded at your partner clinic visit.
Measured at the clinic, so your GP has a current reading.
A check for signs of raised blood sugar, part of your results conversation.
We record whether you smoke and whether you take medication for high blood pressure, so your results are read in context.
A GMC-registered GP goes through your results by video and talks you through what, if anything, to do next.
The Vital Check is a screening check, not a diagnosis. An out-of-range result is a prompt for a conversation, which is why a GP goes through every result with you.
Who it suits
Adults who want a clear picture of their general health without travelling to Sutton Coldfield. It suits you if you haven’t had a check for a while, want a baseline before making changes, or simply want a doctor’s view of your numbers.
Partner clinics take blood from adults only. If you have symptoms that worry you, such as chest pain or breathlessness, don’t wait for a check: call 999 in an emergency or 111 for urgent advice.
