What we check

78 markers across 8 areas of your health

Rather than testing one thing at a time, this panel screens eight key areas as thoroughly as we offer — in a single blood draw. Here's what each group can tell you.

Heart & advanced cholesterol

A full lipid profile plus apolipoproteins and Lipoprotein(a) for a deeper read on cardiovascular risk.

11 markers

Liver, pancreas & muscle

Liver enzymes, pancreatic enzymes and creatine kinase can help identify or rule out organ and muscle strain.

9 markers

Kidney, salts & minerals

Kidney function (with cystatin C), salts, minerals, uric acid and parathyroid hormone for a rounded picture.

12 markers

Thyroid & male hormones

Thyroid function with antibodies plus testosterone, SHBG and free androgen index for a hormonal overview.

8 markers

Blood sugar & insulin

Glucose, HbA1c, insulin and C-peptide help identify or rule out diabetes and insulin resistance.

4 markers

Full blood count & iron

A detailed full blood count with iron studies, B12, folate and vitamin D — a broad view of blood and nutrition.

22 markers

Inflammation & immune

Inflammatory, immunoglobulin and allergy markers can help investigate immune and inflammatory conditions.

8 markers

Gut, prostate & urine

H. pylori and coeliac markers, a PSA prostate check and urinalysis round out this comprehensive screen.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

What is the Advanced GP3 blood test for men?
It is our most comprehensive men's health panel — 78 markers from a single blood draw. As well as advanced cardiovascular, liver, kidney, thyroid, hormone and blood-sugar markers, it adds a full blood count with iron and vitamins, immune and allergy markers, gut markers and a PSA prostate check, giving a clinician the most detailed biochemical picture we offer.
How is GP3 different from GP2 and Standard Screen Plus?
Standard Screen Plus (33 markers) is a broad general check and Advanced GP2 (48 markers) adds advanced cardiovascular markers and iron studies. Advanced GP3 (78 markers) is our most comprehensive panel, adding immune and allergy markers, gut markers, additional organ enzymes and more — the deepest single screen we offer.
Does this test include a PSA prostate check?
Yes. The male panel includes Total Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), a blood marker that can support assessment of prostate health. A raised PSA is not a diagnosis on its own — a clinician reviews your result and advises on sensible next steps if needed.
Do I need to fast before this blood test?
Because this panel includes glucose, HbA1c, insulin and a detailed cholesterol profile, we usually recommend fasting for around 10–12 hours beforehand for the most accurate results. Our team will confirm any preparation when you book.
How long do results take?
We process your sample promptly and contact you as soon as your clinician-reviewed results are ready — turnaround varies by test. Every result is reviewed by a clinician, who flags anything outside the normal range with a clear explanation and guidance on sensible next steps.
Do I need a GP referral?
No referral is needed. You can book directly online or by calling 0121 387 3727. Same-week appointments are available 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm.
