Health screens FAQs
Do I need to fast?
Some screens include cholesterol and glucose, which are most accurate after fasting for 8 to 12 hours. Each screen page says whether fasting is needed. You can drink water.
What is the difference between the male and female versions?
They share the same core tests and add hormone and other markers that are relevant to men or to women.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book online without a referral.
Who analyses and reviews my results?
Samples are analysed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory. A GP at The Vesey reviews any result outside the normal range and can arrange a follow-up appointment to discuss it.
